Certified NBPA Agents
OVERVIEW
The NBPA is responsible for certifying and regulating all agents that represent NBA players. The NBPA reviews the backgrounds of applicants, administers a certification exam, and monitors all NBA contracts negotiated by agents to ensure players receive fair and quality representation.
The NBPA Regulations Governing Player Agents establishes the requirements and standards for the conduct and activities of certified agents. Please note that the application window will open on September 22, 2026, and close on October 30, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
The NBPA Agent Exam is administered in-person in New York City during the month of January. More details will be provided once you are approved to sit for the Exam.
