NEW YORK, NY, May 24, 2023 - The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced today that the TOP 100 Elite High School Basketball Camp (TOP 100) will take place at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida, from June 26 to July 1. Featuring 100 of the best high school players from around the country, TOP 100 provides comprehensive on and off-the-court programming that emphasizes character, education, and skill development as the core principles necessary to maximize a player’s potential. Since its inception, TOP 100 has been led by current and former NBA players looking to prepare the next generation for all aspects of life on and off the court as they progress through the different stages of their basketball careers.

Throughout the week at TOP 100, players will participate in on-court skill development activities, including pro combine drills, dribbling, passing, shooting exercises, and team scrimmages in a tournament-style format. Additionally, players will attend educational sessions designed to prepare them for all aspects of life as professional athletes. These educational sessions cover several topics, including mental health & wellness, financial literacy, NIL education, and more.

Elements of the NBPA TOP 100 Camp:

NBPA Coaching Program - The Coaching Program at TOP 100 gives current and former NBA players interested in coaching an opportunity to gain hands-on experience mentoring and coaching some of the best basketball players in the world.

NBPA Parent Program - The Parent Program was introduced to TOP 100 in 2003 as a means for parents and guardians to learn how they can guide their sons' transition through the different stages of a basketball career. Through this program, parents will participate in group educational seminars, panel discussions, and more.

4th-Year Hosting NCAA and NBA Scouts - Since 2019, TOP 100 has hosted NCAA coaches and NBA scouting personnel.

“TOP 100 is an exciting time for us to connect with the next generation of elite basketball players,” said Purvis Short, NBPA Chief of Player Programs. “Over the last 29 years, TOP 100 has been a platform for us to provide an all-encompassing experience for these athletes to develop and become better men on and off the court. The well-being of the athletes at TOP 100 will always be our number one priority, and it’s a privilege to be in this position and shape the future leaders of our game. TOP 100 is right around the corner, and I know we are all excited to get on the ground and host a productive, fun, and competitive experience for everyone involved.”

"TOP 100 has such a rich history, and it’s a great platform for the NBPA to engage with the next generation of elite basketball players,” said Tamika Tremaglio, Executive Director of the NBPA. “Every year, it’s amazing to watch our staff and current NBPA members embrace their responsibility as mentors. Our role at the NBPA is to ensure these young athletes come out of the TOP 100 experience with a larger network and resources to aid in a lifetime of success on and off the court.”
