NBPA APPOINTS CAMERON JONES AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

NEW YORK (Aug. 22, 2024) – The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) today announced that Cameron Jones has been named Chief Financial Officer of the NBPA. In this role, Jones will oversee all financial operations, strategic financial planning, Basketball Related Income (BRI), and overall analysis, to ensure the NBPA's continued growth and stability.

As part of the NBPA’s leadership team, Jones will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy and operational framework of the organization, contributing to the overall mission of the NBPA to protect, support, and amplify the voices of NBA players.

Jones’ career spans over 25 years in finance, corporate strategy, operations, and business development. Mr. Jones is a trusted strategic thought partner with a keen eye on growth and operational efficiencies. He has led the financial operations for businesses with revenue ranging from $50MM to over $1Bn.

Jones joins the NBPA from Storyblocks, where he served as Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, he leveraged his financial, strategic, and operational acumen to help the company scale and serve customers more effectively. He also built out Storyblocks' financial planning and analysis capabilities, ensuring the company was well-positioned for sustained growth.

Jones has a proven track record of working with leading brands such as BET Networks, The Washington Post, Megaphone (owned by Spotify), and National Public Radio (NPR). His extensive background and expertise in these industries will be invaluable as the NBPA continues to expand its influence and impact both on and off the court.

Jones received his Bachelor of Arts from Morehouse College, graduating Cum Laude in Corporate Finance, and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition to his professional achievements, Jones is active in his community and supports youth leadership training, athletics and mentoring programs.
