NBPA Hosts Experiential Program for Current and Former Members to Learn About the Real Estate Industry

As a one-day experience taking place in Los Angeles and Miami, respectively, NBPA Real Estate Day is an experience that has been curated to give current and former NBPA members a hands-on opportunity to learn about the real estate industry

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 20, 2023 -The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced the start of its Real Estate Day experience taking place today in Los Angeles, California. Led by Josh Childress, a former player and the CEO of the LandSpire Group, this experience has been curated to give current and former NBPA members a hands-on opportunity to learn about the real estate industry.

Over the last eight (8) years, the NBPA has hosted real estate programs during the off-season to help current and former NBPA members pursue career interests and maximize their platforms off the court. As part of this year's Real Estate Day experience led by Josh Childress, program participants will visit different types of real estate in the Los Angeles area, including SoFi Stadium, and select residential and commercial real estate properties. Additionally, program participants will attend a networking event at the end of the day to build connections within the real estate industry. During last year's Real Estate Day experience, program participants had an opportunity to visit several unique properties in the greater Las Vegas area.

The NBPA will also host an additional Real Estate Day experience for current and former NBPA members in Miami, Florida, in mid-July.

"This program provides our players with an exceptional, hands-on experience to better understand the nuances of the real estate industry," said Deborah Murman, the NBPA's Director of Career Development. "Josh Childress has a proven track record of success in the real estate industry, and we are excited to have him back leading this program after he organized such a productive learning experience for our members last year in Las Vegas."

“I am thrilled to lead the NBPA’s Real Estate Day experience again this year,” said Josh Childress. “During my playing career, I had an opportunity to participate in the NBPA’s real estate programs during the offseason, and it helped me develop a new passion and laid the foundation for my work with the LandSpire Group. I always enjoy helping current and former players build a bigger presence in the business world, and I am excited to get started with this program.”
