NBPA Hosts Real Estate Day Experience

Led by Josh Childress, the NBPA Real Estate Day experience has been designed to give current and former NBPA members a hands-on opportunity to learn about the real estate industry

LAS VEGAS, NV, July 8, 2022 – The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) announced the start of its Real Estate Day experience taking place today in Las Vegas, Nevada. Led by Josh Childress, a former player, and real estate investor, this experience has been designed to give current and former NBPA members an opportunity to learn about the real estate industry.

Over the last seven (7) years, the NBPA has hosted real estate programs during the off-season to help current and former NBPA members pursue career interests and maximize their platforms off the court. As part of this experience, participants will visit different types of real estate including Josh Childress’ development property to learn about operations and management. Participants will also engage in brief educational sessions and attend a networking event at the end of the day to build connections within the real estate industry.

“As a former participant of the NBPA’s real estate programs, I am really excited for this opportunity to lead Real Estate Day in Las Vegas this year,” said Josh Childress, a former player, and real estate investor. “I am always looking for platforms to share my knowledge and experience with current and former players and this program is a great introduction for players looking to get involved in the real estate industry in the immediate or long-term future.”

“Our programming in this space has really been designed to give players a hands-on experience to better understand the nuances of the real estate industry,” said Deborah Murman, the NBPA Director of Career Development. “It’s amazing to be back in person this year with Real Estate Day and we have no doubt that Josh Childress will be a strong leader and provide our participants with invaluable information. We look forward to connecting with all of these participants in Las Vegas and using this program to help our members develop as leaders off the court.”
