Devin Cannady and Nate Pierre-Louis Elected to NGBPU Executive Committee as Vice Presidents 

 Scotty Hopson reelected as Secretary-Treasurer  

New York, NY, December 21, 2023 – The Next Gen Basketball Players Union (NGBPU), the union for NBA G League players, held its annual Board of Player Representatives meeting earlier this week at the G League Winter Showcase in Orlando, Florida. During the Board of Player Representatives meeting, NGBPU members came together to discuss union affairs, fill open positions on the NGBPU Executive Committee, and more.  

 NGBPU Executive Committee election results: 

• Devin Cannady of the Birmingham Squadron and Nate Pierre-Louis of the Mexico City Capitanes were elected Vice Presidents on the NGBPU Executive Committee. Cannady and Pierre-Louis will begin their respective 2-year terms immediately. 
• Scotty Hopson was reelected as Secretary-Treasurer on the NGBPU Executive Committee. Hopson will begin his 2-year term immediately.  

 "Scotty Hopson has gone above and beyond as the Secretary-Treasurer, and we are thrilled to have him back in this position," said Andre Ingram, President of the NGBPU. “We especially welcome our newest Executive Committee members. Nate Pierre-Louis is quickly becoming a force in this league and beyond. Nate and I were teammates, continue to be close friends, and I know he will bring a valuable perspective to this union. Additionally, I've always admired Devin Cannady since he entered the G League and through his multiple stints in the NBA. Devin's knowledge and experiences will surely help us push the NGBPU forward." 

The members of the NGBPU Executive Committee include Andre Ingram (President), Scotty Hopson (Secretary-Treasurer), Devin Cannady (Vice President), Nate Pierre-Louis (Vice President), and Langston Galloway (Vice President).
