THE NBPA RETURNS TO LAS VEGAS WITH PLAYER-CENTRIC ACTIVATIONS FOR THE GLOBAL BASKETBALL COMMUNITY

Immersive fan shop, the NBPA Brotherhood DeliTM presented by Chase Freedom, and NBPA Speakeasy serving player-owned spirits throughout opening weekend, July 12-14 

NEW YORK (July 2, 2024) — The National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) today announces its return to Las Vegas, with a variety of player-centric activations throughout the opening weekend of NBA Summer League, giving basketball enthusiasts unparalleled access to a day-in-the-life of their favorite players, off the court.

NBPA BROTHERHOOD DELITM PRESENTED BY CHASE FREEDOM: 

The NBPA Brotherhood Deli presented by Chase Freedom will once again return to the Thomas & Mack Center, in tandem with NBA 2K25 Summer League opening weekend, July 12-14, 2024. The event provides fans with their first opportunity to see NBA rookies on-court in action. 

The three-day pop up, which opens one hour before the first game each day, offers unique fan experiences powered by the 450+ current members of the NBPA. The NYC bodega-themed haven offers basketball enthusiasts space to connect with their favorite athletes’ off-court lifestyle, shop exclusive drops, and enjoy delicious food inspired by players’ deli favorites.  

Brands and designers available within the NBPA Brotherhood Deli include NBA 2K, Nobel x SLAM collab, IconiQ, NBPA Sanctuary and a limited-edition Sue Tsai-designed mini-basketball, curated in partnership with Chase Freedom. Ghetto Gastro will drop a collection of delicious toaster pastries, in limited-edition packaging featuring original art of NBPA members. 

Bleacher Report will also launch its latest Residency artist collab capsule at the deli. Artists behind each capsule, including COVL, Demit Omphroy, MADSTEEZ, Esther Wallace and Blue the Great, will make appearances at the NBPA Brotherhood Deli throughout the weekend.  

Fans can join a live taping of Hoops Tonight podcast with Jason Timpf presented by Chase Freedom and iHeart Media, the hit basketball podcast from The Volume. NBPA Brotherhood Deli patrons can also play NBA 2K24 for the chance to win free merch, attend daily happy hours and secure their spot at exclusive player appearances. NBPA SPEAKEASY AT ARIA RESORT & CASINO: 

The NBPA will also host a special player-inspired Speakeasy at Easy’s Cocktail Lounge inside ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, July 13. The NBPA Speakeasy will feature player-owned spirits and specialty basketball-themed cocktails.  

Headlined by a “tiny stage” hip hop performance and featuring a set by DJ Trauma, the NBPA Speakeasy, open to current and former players, special guests and basketball luminaries, will be open from 7-10 p.m. PT. Space is limited; to purchase tickets in advance, please visit: Lu.ma/nbpabrotherhooddelivegas. 

MGM Resorts International and the NBPA have partnered to develop specialty cocktails featuring player-owned spirits. The menu will include unique cocktails like the “Golden State of Mind,” featuring Stephen Curry's Gentleman's Cut bourbon. As part of the collaboration, MGM Resorts will support the NBPA Speakeasy fundraiser, benefiting the NBPA Foundation, furthering the community and philanthropic efforts of NBA players across the world.
