The NBPI Announces Mark Rejtig as SVP of Brand Partnerships

NEW YORK, NY, February 12, 2020 – The NBPI, the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), is excited to announce Mark Rejtig as the new Senior Vice President (SVP) of Brand Partnerships. As the first to hold this role, Rejtig will set the strategic direction for NBPI branded partnership efforts and ensure that all business development initiatives remain consistent with the NBPA’s overall mission and brand.

Mr. Rejtig brings 20+ years of experience in sales, business development and marketing to the NBPI. He began his career as a media buyer at Grey Advertising and then transitioned to ad sales roles, working for Major League Baseball (MLB) and the USA Network. By 1998, Rejtig was managing key accounts for ABC Sports and ABC Primetime and was the founding vice president of the cross-platform sales group, ABC Unlimited. After several years at ABC, Rejtig eventually took lead as SVP, National Sales Manager in 2002 for Disney’s ABC Family (Freeform), overseeing advertising sales, business development and partnership activities for the channel.

Most recently, Rejtig served as a Branded Content Executive for Creative Arts Agency (CAA), developing marketing partnerships, branded integrations and sponsorships through a variety of media channels.

“We are very excited to bring in someone with Mark’s experience and proven track record of success in business development,” said Payne Brown, President of the NBPI. “Having him on our team will no doubt strengthen our ability to expand and grow the brand of the 450 players.”

The NBPI is also pleased to announce that Keisha Wright has been hired to serve as the new Vice President of Integrated Marketing. Wright will oversee the development and implementation of all marketing strategies related to NBPI business initiatives and will work closely with Rejtig on the brand partnerships team.
