THE THRONE SET TO AIR ON NBA TV AND THE NBA APP
High school basketball national championship event, The Throne, to take place at the American Dream entertainment/retail center from March 27-30
NEW YORK (March 26, 2024) — Gold Level Sports & Entertainment (GLSE) and the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) are excited to announce that The Throne, the one-of-a-kind high school basketball national championship event, is set to air on NBA TV and the NBA App.
The bracket-style tournament features 16 of the top men’s high school basketball teams and six of the top women’s high school basketball teams in the country, competing at the American Dream entertainment/retail center in East Rutherford, N.J., from March 27-30, 2024.

*Some participating programs have opted to play as designated club programs. Though they are playing under their club program name, the players are all students at the same high school.
The Throne will feature 18 players ranked in the top-100 of their respective classes, including the #2 player in the class of 2025 and last year’s Throne MVP, Cameron Boozer, and local New Jersey stars Billy Richmond and Boogie Fland. The women’s side of the tournament will feature four players named as the Max Preps Player of the Year or Gatorade Player of the Year in their respective states, including Mia Pauldo, Emilee Skinner, Kennedy Umeh, and Wrenwyck Ijiwoye.
Created in partnership with NBPA and under the direction of GLSE’s player advisory board, comprised of current and former NBPA members Danny Green, Harrison Barnes, Fred VanVleet, Rudy Gay, and Dwight Howard, The Throne is a unique experience curated “for the players, by the players.”
The Throne will be supported by its event partners in the following ways:
JPMorgan Chase - Players from the participating teams will attend financial literacy workshops led by JPMorgan Chase.
Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) - HSS, the Official Hospital of the NBPA, will provide onsite health and wellness workshops focused on injury prevention, and players will be able to evaluate their personal injury risk factors at the HSS Move Better Lab. HSS clinicians will also provide medical coverage for the tournament games.
NBA 2K/Panini - Players from the participating teams at The Throne can relax, unwind, and play NBA 2K24 in the NBA2K/Panini Players' Lounge.
Mitchell & Ness – Mitchell & Ness will provide fans and players from the participating teams at The Throne with vintage products and merchandise.
Capelli Sport – Capelli Sport will provide customized uniforms for the participating teams at The Throne.
Chick-fil-A Tri-State – Chick-fil-A Tri-State will provide onsite lunches and meals.
